I’m wondering if there is an alternative Windows client that could do the same. What I’m wondering but haven’t taken the time to look into yet, is there any way to use a native or 3rd party VPN client that stores the credentials like the old Windows client did? The last time I used Nord with Linux it still stored them in the client-didn’t require this web-based authentication.

I don’t remember for sure when that was though. I think this must have started when Nord switched from storing credentials in the client app to using the web-based authentication scheme. When I remote desktoped into the workstation I would see that login screen and have to go through the web-based authentication again. I’ve had this setup for years, but found at some point within the past several months, it would become disconnected.

I have a headless workstation that should always be connected to VPN. I’ve been having this issue with Nord’s Windows client a lot over the past several months-to the point where I reinstalled Windows from scratch on the machine to rule out any other issues.
